The Demo-Reel

Your demo reel has one job: to get you in the room. In seconds, industry professionals decide whether they want to spend more time watching you. Your demo reel should immediately showcase the gifted actor you know you are. The demo reel:

1. Proves you can act on camera.
A headshot creates interest. Your demo reel proves you can deliver a believable, compelling performance on screen.

2. Helps people imagine casting you.
A strong reel instantly communicates your type, presence, range, and unique energy. If it sparks a casting director’s imagination, it’s done its job.

3. Auditions for you when you’re not in the room.
Agents, managers, casting directors, and filmmakers often see your reel before they meet you. In many ways, your reel is your first audition. Make sure it’s a great representation of your talent.

What will I do for you?

• Identify 3-4 scenes based on your castability [age/range/’type’]
• We will select 4 scenes, showing your wide range of abilities.
• Re-write/edit and possibly write new scenes to highlight your strengths.
• You will rehearse with me, just like on set, then I will direct you just like on set, then shoot your scenes, just like on set, we’ll even provide scene partners, then I’ll…
• Edit, color correct, picking the best of the best moments and deliver your unique 2min 20sec new demo reel.

A great demo reel makes CDs, agents, managers and myself think, “We gotta get this actor in the room.”
